A day in Hem, Croix and Roubaix
Guided tour of the Chapel of Saint Thérèse of the Child Jesus and the Holy Face in Hem.
A remarkable testament to the revival of sacred art in the late 1950s, the chapel is a rare example of total art, the result of close collaboration between the patron, the clergy, the architect H. Baur and the artists A. Manessier, E. Dodeigne, G. Rouault...
Guided tour of Villa Cavrois in Croix. Built between 1930 and 1932 for the industrialist Paul Cavrois, the villa is the work of the architect Robert Mallet-Stevens, who also designed the interior, the furniture and the grounds. After 12 years of renovation work, the villa opened to the public in 2015.
