The Marquis de Thuisy, a benefactor of Compiègne.
The opening of the Antoine Vivenel Museum's Asian art room in 2018 has enabled us to rediscover an exceptional Compiègne collector, the Marquis de Thuisy (1836-1913). The Friends of the Museums contributed financially to the research of a Master's student at the Université Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne for her dissertation entitled La collection du marquis de Thuisy (1836-1913), de l'acquisition au legs au musée Antoine Vivenel de Compiègne.
The majolica renaissance.
Following the restoration of five majolica works, the entire collection is to be re-presented in the permanent exhibition of the Musée Antoine Vivenel.
The Musée du Cloître Saint-Corneille under the pencil of Sammy Stein!
After the Musée Antoine Vivenel, it's now the turn of the Musée du Cloître Saint-Corneille to get a visitor's guide (scheduled for release in early 2020).

Robida's "monster" makes its debut at the Musée Antoine Vivenel.
Thanks to the support of the Friends of the Museums, the Musée Antoine Vivenel has enriched its collection devoted to the artist Albert Robida (1848-1926) with a unique copy of the sketch known as the "monster" from the book Les Assiégés de Compiègne, 1430, written and illustrated by the author.
Time travel: from the disappearance of the dinosaurs to the present day. The Musée Antoine Vivenel prepares to revamp its permanent regional archaeology trail.

Asia on show at the museum. A selection of Asian objects, exceptionally removed from the reserves where they had been kept since the mid-19th century, is now on display in the museum's permanent collection.
Compiègne, from one bridge to another. An exhibition on the history and engineering of Compiègne's bridges. From May 19 to November 18, 2018.
A museum of studies for all. With the support of the Friends of Museums association, the City of Compiègne has been able to acquire seventy-three drawings by a former student of the free drawing school sponsored by Antoine Vivenel.

To lose one's head! Three medieval figures have lost their heads... heads found by chance in 1995 on the grounds of the former Royallieu Abbey in Compiègne.
The last flight of the Ace of Aces. The Musée de la Figurine historique is enriched by a new diorama featuring First World War hero Georges Guynemer.
Demonic mask. The Musée Antoine Vivenel plans to showcase its collection of Japanese Noh theater masks when it creates an Asian collections room in late 2017.

A facelift for our Saint Francis of Assisi. Thanks to the patronage of the Association des Amis des Musées de la Ville de Compiègne, this 17th-century Italian painting has benefited from a complete restoration and a new frame.
Antoine Vivenel, the Italian. Dans les petits papiers d'un collectionneur: Italian prints and drawings from the Musée Antoine Vivenel, 16th - 18th centuries.
Landing at the Musée de la Figurine historique. A set of three models and dioramas depicting key episodes in twentieth-century history join the collections of the Musée de la Figurine historique.
